On Sunday I attempted to have a back to school party for Keegan. I made all the kids crowns and let them wear them at dinner. The crowns were a hit, unfortunately dinner was not. The kids opted for cereal and since I decided to keep the peace, I let them.

After dinner we played a little Wii. (we loaded Super Mario 1 and 3 on the wii -very addicting), and than when upstairs to play a back to school game. Well the game didn't work out so well. Rylee was all over the game and the pieces and Keegan was upset that Kaitlin was winning, so I took the game away and said the party was over.

Even though the party wasn't a big success we were able to have a good night. Rod gave Keegan a Father's blessing that he'll do well in school and than they went and played a little more wii before it was time for bed.

On Monday morning, Keegan was up bright and early excited to go to school. Here he is in the front yard right before I took him off to his first day of first grade.

When Keegan got to school, he was so excited to see his old friends again. He had no problems saying goodbye to me or the girls. Although Rylee was sad to see Keegan go.
After school, Keegan said he had a good day but was a little sad that his teacher told him that his lower case a's look like 9's. I told him how to make them look like a's and all is well again.

This morning Keegan was excited for day 2 of school, Rylee is still sad he's not home (she keeps saying she wants to go get Keegy from school) but I'm sure he's being a good boy, having fun with his friends, and learning a lot.

What a fun idea to celebrate going back to school with crowns and all! :) Poor Rylee - good thing there's a new baby on the way.
